Frequently Asked Questions
OUR HONEYMOON FAQ
(BECAUSE YOU’RE GOOD AT POPPING QUESTIONS)
Your honeymoon isn’t just any old holiday, so it’s natural that you’ll have some questions and queries before you book that once-in-a-lifetime trip. That’s why we’ve gathered together some of our frequently asked questions here to help you out.
PRe-Travel
-
We’ll first set up an initial call to get to know you both, your interests and how you like to travel, as well as discussing ideas in your chosen destination. From here we’ll curate a tailor-made itinerary and send it over within 48 hours. You can then fine-tune your trip as much as you’d like before confirming when it’s all perfect.
-
We will confirm everything with our local suppliers and start organising your trip. You will be given access to your personalised app which contains additional information about your destination and a countdown to your trip. As you get closer to the departure date and you’ve made your final payment, we’ll introduce you to our Restaurant Planner and send through your final travel documents before setting up a pre-departure call to answer any last-minute questions. Then it’s honeymoon time.
-
Yes absolutely. We’re super flexible and know that new ideas might come to mind as the weeks go on, so depending on availability, we are always happy to add in new experiences for you.
-
Absolutely. We understand that a candlelit dinner in the middle of the Zambezi River or a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Agafay Desert is a special moment for you both, so we’ll be more than happy to leave this out of the written document to build the excitement. What’s a honeymoon without a surprise here and there?
-
Your Travel Expert will inform all the properties that it will be your honeymoon and you’ll be incredibly well looked after. However, it can never hurt to bring your wedding certificate with you just in case.
-
For the hotels it will be absolutely fine. However, for your flight your name should be as per your passport. If you were to book your flight six months prior, it might be better to wait until you are back from your honeymoon to change your name.
-
Please be aware that entry visa requirements are considered your own responsibility and without the correct visa, evisa or entry permits you may be refused entry to any given destination. It is essential that you check whether a visa is needed in order for you to travel – please do check with your Travel Expert if you are in any way unsure. Please also note that most countries require that your passport have at least six months remaining until expiry after your date of return home. It is also suggested that you have at least two consecutive blank pages available in your passport for entry stamps and visas granted on arrival.
For any additional advice or information on the country (or countries) you are travelling to, we recommend visiting the following link – US State Department prior to departure.
-
Please be aware it’s your responsibility to ensure you’re covered for all possible vaccinations or medications needed for your trip. We pride ourselves on being able to do many things but sadly we are not qualified physicians, so please speak with your doctor to ensure you are up to date on your recommended vaccinations. Often vaccinations need to be given well over a month prior to departure to have reached full efficacy.
For any further information we recommend you either refer directly to your doctor/physician or look at the following website: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel.
Trip type
-
There is no ‘perfect’ length – your honeymoon can be however long (or short) you wish. Whilst we do specialise in great 10-14 day trips, we can always work around your personal requirements to create the perfect getaway no matter the time frame.
If your needs are more complex then this process can take a little longer. At the same time if you’re eager to travel ASAP then we can get you from inquiry to flight within a matter of hours.
-
We have a team of global Travel Experts who will be able to give you suitable recommendations where you will both have a fantastic time. We’ll set up times to speak to you, or send group emails to ensure that you both ask us as many questions as you like. Or if you’re keeping it a secret then just tell us a little about what they like and we’ll be able to work our magic.
-
Of course. Some destinations are perfect for a mini-moon, and just because you have a shorter time period to travel in, doesn’t mean we can’t give you the exact same service to ensure you get what you want out of your honeymoon.
-
Why not… if you’re ok with it then we are. Tell us all about your children and their habits, and we’ll curate a bespoke itinerary to cater to their every need. As well as honeymoons, we’re fantastic at family travel.
